Full-time Governance Professional
Salary negotiable depending on experience
Minimum 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
This is not a term-time only position
Thomas Telford Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Governance Professional who is responsible for the governance arrangements across the Trust and its affiliated schools.
Reporting to the Chair of the Trust Board, the post holder will be required to work closely with trustees, senior TTMAT executives, local governors and headteachers. The main purpose of the post is to ensure that the governance arrangements across the Trust are compliant with statutory requirements and meetings are appropriately constituted.
The nature of the work means that the post holder will be required to work flexibly and outside of the normal working day, as there will be a need to attend meetings in-person across the Trust. Being able to travel independently within the West Midlands area is also a prerequisite. Experience of working in an education environment would be an advantage, but not an essential requirement as full training will be given to the successful candidate. A record of well-developed organisational and administrative skills, together with the ability to prepare accurate and articulate documents, including formal minutes, is, however, required. The post holder should understand the need to work confidentially and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
The recruitment process for this post will require shortlisted applicants to complete an e-tray exercise. For more information regarding this requirement, or the role, please contact Mrs. Michelle Davies, Company Clerk via email: mmdavies@ttsonline.net.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Trust website www.ttmat.net (vacancies tab) and should be sent to: Mrs. Michelle Davies, Company Clerk, c/o Thomas Telford School, Old Park, Telford, TF3 4NW or via the above email address.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks, including two employment references, relevant right to work in the UK checks and a satisfactory DBS check. There is also the expectation that the candidate will abide by The Nolan Principles.
