Work hours: 40 hours per week; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; Tuesdays 12:00-8:30 PM; occasional nights and weekends
Work location & format: 417 South Avenue—Medical office; Mobile Outreach and Engagement (MOE) vehicle in the future
Position Summary: The Manager, Clinical Operations, oversees SJNC’s outpatient clinic and practice management functions, ensuring high-quality patient care by balancing clinical excellence and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include developing and refining clinical workflows, documenting and communicating procedures, and providing comprehensive oversight to integrate clinical functions with administrative initiatives. The Manager leads quality improvement initiatives, establishes and updates clinical policies, and ensures staff training and adherence to standards. Additionally, the role involves managing, educating, and supporting healthcare professionals, students, and volunteers, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Coordinating clinical operations with administrative functions to align with SJNC’s strategic goals is crucial. A key commitment of this role is serving the Neighborhood Center's patient population, particularly the uninsured and underinsured, ensuring accessible and equitable healthcare services. This position requires a proactive leader committed to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
* Clinical Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivering patient care. This includes managing clinical workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation. A focus on consistency and standardization is paramount.
* Quality and Performance Improvement: Implementing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. This involves using data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
* Staff Management and Development: Leading and managing a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes professional development and high performance.
* Patient Care Coordination: Ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by coordinating various aspects of patient care, including appointment scheduling, patient education, and follow-up care.
* Policy and Procedure Development: Developing, maintaining, and updating clinical policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory requirements, and ensuring that all staff adhere to these standards.
* Financial Management: Overseeing the clinic's budget, financial performance, and ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality care.
* Community Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and residents to enhance the clinic’s presence and impact in the community. This includes participating in and organizing outreach initiatives and events.
* Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensuring that the clinic complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
* Strategic Planning and Integration: Aligning clinical operations with the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives, and supporting the development and execution of strategic plans to enhance clinic performance and sustainability.
* Commitment to DEI: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the clinic and ensuring equitable access to care for all patients, including those who are uninsured or underinsured.
* Direct Patient Care: In accordance with the employee’s scope of practice, the Manager Clinical Operations will directly work within the care system and provide direct services 20% of the time in accordance with their scope of practice, ensuring direct involvement in patient care and maintaining a hands-on approach to clinic operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
* RN or NP licensure with at least five years of clinical experience.
* At least three years of supervision, leadership, and/or management with demonstrated ability to develop patient centered care teams that are collaborative in nature and quality focused.
* CPR certified.
* Valid NYS driver license as this position may drive the organization’s Mobile/Medical Outreach and Engagement (MOE) vehicle.
* Requires valid NYS driver license, own reliable vehicle, and liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 as employee will need to drive for work purposes.

Physical Requirements
* In compliance with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) infection control requirements for health care organizations, St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center (SJNC) requires that all new and existing employees and volunteers provide documentation to demonstrate[1] :
* Mumps Measles and Rubella (MMR) vaccination or titer
* Completion of a Tuberculosis (TB) test within 6 months
* Flu vaccination or mask required in patient/client areas during flu season
* COVID 19 vaccination series or mask required in patient/client areas at all times
* While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
* Occasionally the employee must stoop, bend and lift or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary and Benefits
* Standard benefits for employees, include the following:
o Supportive and affirming workplace community.
o Monday-Friday work week with occasional nights and weekend hours required.
o Paid Holidays: A minimum of eleven (11) paid holidays including: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Day, and two diversity floating holidays. The holiday schedule is determined by the Executive Director as is distributed in November of each year.
o Personal Time Off (PTO): New employees accrue .088461 hours of PTO per hour worked (184 hours per year at 40 hours per week. This bank is used for all vacation, sick-time, time off to conduct personal business, medical/dental appointments, and other personal matters.
o Medical Insurance: SJNC currently contributes $7,000 per year toward the cost of health insurance for full time employees.
o Dental Insurance: SJNC has an optional dental plan for individuals and/or families who wish to purchase dental insurance.
o Vision Insurance: SJNC has an optional vision plan for individuals and/or families who wish to purchase vision insurance.
o Retirement Savings Plan—401k: SJNC contributes 3% of each employee’s salary to a 401k plan. Employees are eligible for this benefit on their first day of employment and are fully vested with no wait period. Employees may also elect to have a portion of their pay deferred into the plan before income tax is paid and allowed to grow tax-deferred until the money is taxed as income when withdrawn from the plan.
o Life Insurance: The Center provides and pays for a life insurance policy for each employee. The insurance benefit is currently double the employee’s annual salary up to $200,000.
* Salary range: $90,000-$130,000. Based upon skillset and years of experience.
