We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Property Maintenance Manager to join our growing team in Scarborough!
We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to help maintain a portfolio of buy-to-let properties and holiday lets to the highest standards, ensuring compliance and creating a great experience for tenants and guests.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the property portfolio, playing a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently, from managing contractors to ensuring compliance with regulations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining relationships with contractors who meet the necessary standards
Organising and overseeing works across the portfolio, including:
Conducting inspections to identify required work
Sourcing appropriate contractors
Arranging quotes and negotiating costs
Scheduling works around tenant/guest availability
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and addressing any snagging issues
Managing payments for completed work
Ensuring all properties are fully compliant with necessary certifications, including gas certificates, EICRs, fire inspections, and more
Managing tenant expectations and pushing back when necessary on non-responsible maintenance requests
Some local travel for contractor meetings, inspections, and work sign-offs will be required therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own transportTo be successful, you’ll need to remain calm and organised under pressure, as emergency maintenance may arise.
Strong people skills are essential for holding contractors and tenants accountable, and excellent project management abilities are key to managing multiple tasks effectively.
Experience in property and maintenance management is preferred but not essential.
This will be working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm earning a salary of £27,000.
