Blandford Medical Centre based in Braintree has an exciting opportunity for an administrative assistant to join our growing administrative team within our busy practice. This role is offered on a full-time basis and will be based on-site. The role of an administration assistant will include, but is not limited to the following tasks: Processing all correspondence that comes to the practice. Updating medical records using SystmOne. Filing and coding. Updating patient demographics. Supporting patients with online access. Summarising. Overseeing admin and allocating outstanding tasks. Updating the non-patient database. About the Candidate We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who have previous administrative experience. Applicants should have the following skills and experience: Experience of previously working within a GP practice beneficial. Knowledge of SystmOne desirable but full-training can be provided. Motivated and enthusiastic. Excellent IT, time management and organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
