Salary Range: GBP31,350 : GBP46,179 annually (M1 : UPS2 Fringe) + GBP5,000 Welcome Bonus for Qualified Teachers*

We are supporting a popular school for SEMH students in finding dedicated and qualified Teachers to join their team in Caterham. The role involves delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences to students aged 11:16 with communication and social interaction challenges, primarily associated with Autism.
This school is part of a larger group of schools, sharing leadership but maintaining distinct teams at each site. Each site has its own Assistant Head, teachers, and teaching assistants, supported by a full therapy team. Collaboration and movement between sites are encouraged for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable to the school leadership teams, performing various duties including, but not limited to:
* Contributing to curriculum delivery and development tailored to students educational, physical, and social needs.
* Collaborating effectively within a multi:disciplinary team.
* Utilising short, medium, and long:term plans for curriculum delivery.
* Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalised learning targets.
* Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress to stakeholders.
* Developing lesson plans and self:reflecting on outcomes.
* Participating in reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
* Structuring lessons to maintain engagement, motivation, and challenge.
* Staying informed on current autism:related issues to enhance teaching and learning.
* Working non:confrontationally to meet individual student needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
* PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Ability to teach up to GCSE level.
* Relevant experience and knowledge of working with pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA.
* Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
* Experience managing a variety of behavioural approaches, including challenging behaviours.
