The role involves working in a Year 1 classroom each morning, supporting the class teacher with children's learning, and working each afternoon 1:1 with a child with an EHC Plan.
Teaching Assistant Scale: 3 Point 6 Hours: 15 hours per week (8:45am -11:45am) Required from 24th February 2025 to 4th April 2025 (this may be extended into the summer term).
SEN Learning Support Assistant Scale: 3 Point 6 Hours: 10.83 hours per week (1.05pm-3.15pm) Required from 24th February 2025 to 31st August 2025 fixed term.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible member of staff who can provide general and/or specific assistance to pupils under the guidance of the class teacher. The role will require supporting the teacher with teaching and learning and general classroom duties, including PPA cover under the guidance of the teacher.
The role will also include supporting a child each afternoon with physical, medical, and learning needs. Full support/training will be given to the successful candidate. Successful applicants will work under the direction of the class teacher and Senior Management Team/SENCO.

1. Have experience of working with children in an educational setting
2. Have high expectations of self and others
3. Be self-motivated, resilient, flexible, and able to use their own initiative
4. Have good verbal and written communication skills
5. Be able to work as part of a team under the direction of the teacher
6. Have the ability to build positive relationships with the children, promoting high self-esteem and independence
7. Deliver the learning planned by the teacher when covering PPA
8. Be willing to attend to the child's personal and medical needs
9. GCSE grade C or Level 2 equivalent in English and maths is desirable
