We have twenty-six Adult, Paediatric and Obstetrics theatres covering a diverse range of both elective and emergency work in a variety of specialties including major trauma, via the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS).
The aim of this role is to support the registered staff to provide safe and effective patient care. There is also an opportunity to rotate in Theatres-Recovery-Holding bay.
The post-holder will have key working relationships with the Admission Area and Ward staff, patients and carers, all operating department staff, surgical and anaesthetic staff.
The Health Care Support Worker will contribute to the care of patients in the OperatingTheatre/ Recovery and associated areas by assisting the Registered Practitioners within theboundaries of the job description. In addition, the Health Care Support Worker is proactive inanticipating the needs of the patients and the required service.
