We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment, covering multiple social housing and Construction sites, from Essex, Kent, East London and West Sussex, by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations.
This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
A strong background in health and safety management, preferably within the construction, social housing, or property management sectors.
Proven experience in developing and delivering RAMS, CPPs, and other safety documentation.
Experience or knowledge of implementing ISO 45001 standards.
Ability to effectively engage with and train staff, subcontractors, and operatives on safety protocols.
Familiarity with safety registers, inspection protocols, and subcontractor onboarding processes.
Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
As our Health and Safety Officer, you will: Review all works undertaken and develop new or update existing RAMS, CPP’s.
Help shape a comprehensive Approved Policies and Procedures (APP) framework. Review, deliver, and maintain Subcontractor onboarding processes Establish a systematic process for delivering staff inductions, training programs, and regular toolbox talks to ensure our workforce and subcontractors are consistently trained and up to date with the latest safety regulations and best practices.
Set up and oversee safety registers, including plant inspection logs, PAT testing schedules, and equipment service records. Develop/amend and deliver WIP inspection forms Lead the organisation’s journey towards achieving ISO 45001 accreditation, implementing the necessary policies, procedures, and systems to meet the standard Offer expert advice and hands-on support to supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on all projects.

CIS - Self employed - or temp to permanent.
£215 per day. Paid weekly.
Must have own vehicle.
