Job Vacancy: PSHE and Citizenship Teacher (SEND) - PRU
Location: Ladbroke Grove
Working Hours: 08:30-16:00, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced and adaptable PSHE and Citizenship teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated teacher to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit in Ladbroke Grove. You will be responsible for delivering GCSE and BTEC level PSHE and Citizenship to children aged 13-17, with small class sizes of up to 8 pupils. The ideal candidate must have experience with SEMH and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging PSHE and Citizenship lessons, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.
2. Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and well-being.
3. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of educators and support staff.
4. Adapt teaching strategies to cater for a range of abilities and learning styles.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Proven experience working with SEND students, particularly in PRUs or alternative education settings.
3. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
4. Patience, flexibility, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
