Job Title: Education Programme Manager Contract: 12-month contract (35hrs) Salary: £35,000 to £37,000 with performance bonus Reporting to: Head of Education Location: Office-based with flexibility to work from home The role The Trade Association for the whole UK jewellery trade is looking for a new Education Programme Manager to join the enthusiastic, innovative, and friendly team. As Education Programme Manager you will: Be an influential member of ‘Team NAJ’, supported by the Head of Education and working with the Education Co-ordinator and Education Officer to achieve success. The salary for this role is £35,000 to £37,000 (depending on experience). Other employee benefits include training, 23 days annual leave (plus 8 Bank Holidays) increasing to 25 days after 5 years, employer pension, insurance and one day per year to volunteer at your nominated charitable cause. We are seeking an experienced curriculum and resource development professional with expertise in quality assurance to manage qualification updates, new resource development, workshops and short courses and to support the quality assurance process. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and relevance of our educational offerings and ensuring that they meet the needs of our diverse student base. You will have work experience related to qualification development, delivery and assessment in an educational setting and be well-organised with good attention to detail. You will be adept at guiding and supporting our extended team of tutors and assessors and will be professional and personable in dealings with internal and external stakeholders, including content developers, workshop and short course tutors, L&D managers and colleagues. You will demonstrate the Association’s values of Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism and be a team player and critical friend when appropriate. You will possess excellent communication and organisation skills to ensure that qualification updates and new resource development are undertaken within agreed timelines and budgets and to the required standard. You will provide support to tutors and assessors and manage internal quality assurance processes, ensuring that assessment and qualification delivery is compliant with regulatory requirements and in line with industry expectations and standards. You will be able to collate, track, monitor and report on data and key performance indicators and assist with the provision of information for marketing of the NAJ Education Portfolio. All NAJ qualifications (regulated and non-regulated) undergo cyclical review every four years. New products, such as the JET Management and Leadership qualification, are developed periodically in line with market needs. We currently have two regulated and two non-regulated qualifications (jewellery product, valuation and management and leadership), enrolling a total of c. 550 students per year. We are also an approved end-point assessment organisation for the L2 Retailer, L3 Retail Team Leader and L3 Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Trades apprenticeship. We have ambitions to expand our current trade association status to align our education and membership offerings more closely, with associated developments in training pathways and resources anticipated.
