Description Your new role Overhaul Materials Team Leader Craigentinny Permanent The Overhaul Materials Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that the correct material is in the right place at the right time to support maintenance overhaul activities. This role will be based on site at Craigentinny but will require travel to our Newton Aycliffe Manufacturing facility. Management of material required for overhaul activities on site(s). Support for KPI checks and interface to Central Materials Team for ordering requirements. Support for the Bogie Overhaul/Heavy maintenance program (management of the Overhaul operatives). Support with Cl activities in the Supply Chain stores/ Warehousing processes. Prepare warranty/repairs material to vendor for the heavy maintenance / overhaul material. Arranging transport between TMCs, External Warehouses and vendors. Support, when required, with purchasing of indirect materials. Linking into the Central Materials team with material requirements and planning against lead times. Linking into the Central Planning Cell to assist in ensuring required material is available. Implementing and assisting in material kitting. Operate the necessary stores equipment such as forklift, electric pallet truck & cranes. Completion of management reporting. Ensure that the management and supervision of all personnel within the team function is professional and effective identifying training and development opportunities to increase skills and improve efficiency. Build strong relationship with other key departments and adopt a collaborative approach. To be involved in Hitachi Rail’s staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures About You Proven experience of a Stores Team Leading function and management of a team. Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment. Ability to identify, implement, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators.
