Viasat UK protects critical, sensitive data in servers, laptops, tablets, and tailored systems in a way that gives users greater mobility and operational flexibility without compromise.
Viasat has transformed the market for delivery of Data at Rest solutions, and we are growing our team with a Lead Software Engineer to lead our software engineers and work on the development of Cyber and Information Assurance projects.

As a Project Manager, you will contribute to and support the management of a spectrum of internal development, capital, and contract programs across a variety of related technology. You must have an understanding of the basics of project management and be able to contribute to schedule updates, project reviews, and reporting. You will have the opportunity to support the growth of the business not just through overseeing projects but also through supporting proposal development and customer engagement.
The day-to-day
* Manage in-service support liaising with customers to look into issues, how these are affecting clients, and raise it with the relevant stakeholders to expedite the resolution.
* Supporting the programme managers with project reporting including scheduling, resource management, financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management.
* Consolidating data points and preparing reports for management and division leadership.
* Support the compilation of whitepapers, bids, and proposals with content and cost and scheduling information.
* Support the program managers with resource planning on wider design programs.
What you'll need
* 2+ years of experience as Project Manager, or an experienced Project Coordinator looking to move into a Project Manager role.
* Display proactive and flexible project-oriented dedication, with the ability to work with a variety of groups including development, operations, and support services within a global organisation.
* Must have sole British Nationality (due to UK eyes-only projects), and have, or be capable of obtaining, UK security clearance (SC).
What will help you on the job
* Formal qualification in Project Management (APMP/Prince 2 or equivalent).
* Knowledge of MoD and/or security communications.
* Knowledge of End Volume Management practices.
* Proven experience in project/program management and proven technical leadership experience.
