This role will be responsible for developing, updating, analysing and reporting on the end to end Programme plan including the multiple complex technical engineering solution operational project plans. The role will lead progress meetings and will report progress against the baseline.Undertake ‘what if’ scenario planning and develop appropriate mitigations with various project, programme stakeholders and prepare/present reports for project teams and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and update the end to end Programme plan and multiple complex technical engineering solution operational plans, including tracking and reporting on the Fibre Upgrade Programme master plan Establish accurate, current, and reliable project portfolio planning & reporting across the operational delivery lifecycle and its delivery partners Provide central view of deliverability of Fibre Upgrade Programme operational plans with drill down on critical path across the portfolio of projects with drill down into underlying plans at supplier, region, scheme, sub-scheme level Routinely report on status of portfolio and projects including critical path and tasks, milestone reports, resource utilisation, labour, materials, cashflow, work burndown, budget burndown and prepare/present reports to Project teams, Programme director and Senior Leadership stakeholders. Support the Transformation and System integration team in plan development and incorporation of transformation and System Integration plans into wider portfolio level plans Publish trusted plan data to Fibre Upgrade Programme operational data platform for downstream consumption, reporting and analytics Using plan data and insights, support operational management and improvement teams to identify risks to delivery, issues, and opportunities for improvement (e.g. variance across task completion times, costs between regions/suppliers/schemes) Further use plan data to proactively monitor delivery and advise operational leaders and partners on what-if scenarios and tasks/constraint/dependencies on the potential impact of Risk and Issues in proximity to critical path Experience Needed Experience in developing strategies and plans within programme planning / project management environment on large scale programmes An analytical mind capable for “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems Expert user of MS Project and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Excel Ability to rapidly build rapport and form strong business relationships across multiple locations Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular planning, communication and presentation skills, with good cross functional and inter-disciplinary awareness Sound Planning skills with the ability to foresee potential issues and implement change and contingencies as well as being an effective decision-maker in accordance with business requirements and constraints Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple complex technical engineering plans simultaneously, work well under pressure whilst meeting deadlines, maintaining quality and attention to detail Good experience level in developing and communicating ‘what if’ scenarios, reflecting key risk and issues which are in the proximity of the critical path, providing effective analysis information to the Senior Leadership team to support decisions High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation within a fast-paced environment
