Temporary Staffing Manager Location: Crewe – Hybrid role Job Type: Temporary Duration of booking: Expected to be for 3 months with a possible extension Proposed start date: ASAP Sector: Healthcare Working Days and Hours: 37.5 hours Pay Rates: £26.20 PAYE Inclusive of Holiday pay £29.50 Umbrella Job Summary The Temporary Staffing Manager will lead the Temporary Staffing Team in delivering a responsive, effective, and efficient temporary staffing service (non-medical). The post holder will work closely with operational managers to address workforce gaps and source skilled temporary staff (bank or agency). This role focuses on ensuring a stable staffing provision, compliance with processes and standards, and delivering value for money. Key Duties and Responsibilities Temporary Workforce Management Lead recruitment programs to maintain a robust bank workforce. Ensure all bank staff receive proper induction and maintain mandatory training. Manage temporary workforce needs through effective use of systems and ensure staffing gaps are filled promptly. Support managers in forward planning for staffing requirements. Agency Management Manage relationships with agencies and monitor their performance. Ensure compliance with service level agreements and cost-effectiveness. Address agency-related issues, including performance and invoicing. Service Improvement Drive process improvements and implement new ways of working. Research and support initiatives to optimize temporary workforce utilization and reduce agency costs. Ensure continuous improvement of team processes based on feedback and audits. Data Management and Reporting Use workforce systems to manage staffing data and generate reports for decision-making. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. Team Leadership Line manage the Temporary Staffing Team, providing support and development opportunities. Ensure team members complete mandatory training and are appraised regularly. Foster a positive team culture and support staff wellbeing. Governance and Compliance Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. Monitor and audit compliance with relevant standards and address any issues. Person Specification Qualifications Post-graduate management qualification or equivalent experience. Evidence of continuous professional development. Knowledge and Skills Understanding of workforce systems and temporary staffing processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to analyse data and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in IT systems, including workforce management tools. Experience Proven experience in leading and managing teams. Experience in temporary staffing or workforce planning. Familiarity with NHS terms and conditions and agency worker rules is desirable
