Who we’re looking for
Seat Unique is looking for a Head of SEO to join our dynamic marketing team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEO professional to join a rapidly growing business and take a lead on delivering excellence across our product and organic marketing. The ideal candidate is driven to maximise our online presence, enhance search engine rankings, and ensure that Seat Unique remains at the forefront of SEO best practices.
We're in the live events business, which means in-person events are our core. This translates to our company culture and this role requires the candidate to be in the office five days a week at our London HQ. This in-person environment fosters agility. Being together allows our team to make quick decisions and adapt to the constant changes in our industry.
Responsibilities
As the Head of SEO, you will be entrusted with leading and executing our SEO strategy to drive organic growth and improve our search engine visibility.
Your role will involve:
* Developing SEO and Content Strategy: Create and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business goals and drive organic growth, focusing on both technical SEO and content strategy.
* Content Management: Oversee the content roadmap, manage a team of content writers, and ensure the performance of our blogs in terms of driving web visits, inquiries for events not on sale, and revenue.
* Technical SEO: Oversee the implementation of technical SEO strategies, including conducting regular website audits to identify and rectify technical issues, and ensuring website optimization.
* Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities for organic search growth and guide content creation.
* Content Optimisation: Lead the creation and optimization of on-page content, metadata, and structured data to improve search visibility and user experience.
* Lead and Collaborate with Content Creators: Manage the content team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into the content development process.
* Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyse SEO performance metrics, using data to generate insights and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
* Industry Trends and Algorithm Updates: Stay informed about industry trends, search engine algorithms, and best practices to keep Seat Unique’s SEO strategy current and effective.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of content writers, providing guidance and support to achieve targets and KPIs.
Skills & Experience
While these qualifications are highly regarded, we appreciate the value of diverse experiences. You don't need all of them, but they could include:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Proven track record of delivering KPI-driven results in SEO and content management.
* Hands-on experience managing marketplace products and delivering revenue from SEO optimization.
* Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking methods, and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and others.
* Ability to lead on SEO and content best practices across product and content.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* A self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for projects.
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects under pressure.
