The Role As Operations Director, you will work closely with the Managing Director (MD) and Financial Director (FD) to manage and optimise day-to-day operations, driving efficiency and performance across the business. Youll be responsible for overseeing key functions such as payroll delivery, client relationships, and operational processes. This is a challenging, high-impact role requiring a strategic mindset and experience managing large-scale operations with thousands of contractors. Responsibilities: Take ownership of day-to-day business operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments. Lead and manage operations teams, driving performance and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Work closely with the MD and FD to implement business strategies, focusing on scaling the business and improving processes. Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance for large volumes of contractors (10,000). Develop and monitor KPIs, operational processes, and performance metrics to ensure business goals are met. Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive innovation, enhance service delivery, and increase operational efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs. Act as a strategic partner to the MD and FD, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth and scalability. What Were Looking For: Experience: Significant experience in the temporary labour market (ideally in a payroll company or recruitment agency), with a strong understanding of large-scale operations. Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing operations teams, ideally with exposure to handling large volumes of contractors (10,000). Skills: Excellent problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities. Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and the intricacies of managing high volumes of contractors and clients. Mindset: A results-oriented, proactive leader with the ability to drive change and improve business performance.
