ABL Health have been commissioned by Dudley metropolitan borough council to deliver a high-quality Stop Smoking Service across the Dudley borough.
Main duties of the job
You will work flexibly across the borough of Dudley, engaging with communities (including traveller communities, refugees, and asylum seekers) and community partners. Your goal is to increase referrals into the service through partnership engagement and working within the heart of the communities to connect with difficult-to-reach groups. You will support people in identifying barriers to accessing services (language, mental or physical health, digital exclusion, etc.) and work with the wider team to break down these barriers and improve service development and delivery, easing the transition from potential client to active client.
You will be expected to engage at the neighbourhood, community, and place level to increase referrals into the service and build long-lasting relationships with local partners. This will involve developing and maintaining strong, positive relationships with a wide range of communities and organisations and supporting the development of the service's communication strategy.
You will be a motivated, passionate, organised, and proactive communicator with experience in a community setting. ABL takes a strengths-focused asset-based approach to community delivery, looking to innovate and partner, not replicate existing delivery. The role will require dynamic working that embraces the vision and values we wish to establish for the service, supporting people to achieve healthy lives.
