Position Overview:
The Finance Manager at Cocoon SDA Care will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. This role involves financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making to support the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, analyse, and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
3. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
4. Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Australian Taxation Office (ATO), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding regulations, and financial reporting standards.
6. Oversee internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets.
7. Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
8. Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure financial stability.
9. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
10. Identify cost-saving initiatives and financial efficiency strategies.
11. Manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and tax reporting.
12. Ensure proper financial documentation and record-keeping.
13. Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align financial strategies with business objectives.
14. Provide recommendations for business growth, investment opportunities, and financial sustainability.
15. Support funding applications and liaise with funding bodies to secure grants and financial support.
16. Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and efficiency.
17. Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to streamline financial processes.
18. Serve as the primary contact for financial inquiries from banks, regulatory bodies, and investors.
Qualifications and Experience:
Should have at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
