Pay: £12.16 - £16.78 per hourTypical activities will vary according to the specific department where you’ll work but may include: Dressing and trimming of carcases against strict specifications, while comfortably keeping pace with the speed of the line and maintaining hygiene / quality standards within departmental timings. Clean removal of all internal organs. Working with FSA in the rectification of carcases Packing and processing guts/offal by products Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times (e.g. hand-washing, knife sterilising and kit wash-down) Operation of machinery used in the dressing process (splitting saws, electric trimmers). Maintaining own knife and keeping it sharp Working as part of a team to meet production targets. Identifying errors/faults and taking appropriate steps to rectify these. Competently performing any other tasks for which training has been completed and signed off. Previous experience of slaughter work, preferably gained in a production environment is preferential although full training is provided. Attention to detail/good observational skills. Self motivation and reliability. Ability to be flexible and adapt to change, occasionally at short notice.
