As a Maintenance Craftsperson at Sodexo Hereford County Hospital, you will bring expertise in carpentry, decoration, and general building maintenance, serving as the go-to person with the answers and solutions to keep the facilities running smoothly. Using your skills to maintain the building fabric and utility services across the Hereford estate, you will also demonstrate excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build strong working relationships. What you'll do:
* Delivery of the Estates Maintenance Service, including programmed and reactive maintenance across multiple disciplines.
* Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, mandatory, and contractual obligations in the delivery of the Estates Maintenance Service. Evidential documentation in support of compliance to be managed and available to satisfy audit requirements.
* Update and maintain accurate records including, PDA, job dockets and service reports.
* Establishment and maintenance of effective communications and working relationships both internally and externally to Sodexo.
What you bring:
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant field.
* Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge.
* Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills.
* Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude.
* Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressure.
