Due to the retirement of the existing postholder, we are looking to recruit an excellent, innovative teacher of Design Technology to join and lead the Technology (Food, Nutrition and Preparation, Resistant Materials and Textiles), Art and Computing Curriculum Area. At The Gilberd School we highly value the contribution played by practical subjects within our aspirational curriculum.
Accommodation for the Curriculum Area is first rate, being reconfigured to allow us to prepare students for the demands of the modern world.
We have a strong ethos of supporting each other and developing the skills of our colleagues. Positive and solution based, you will promote creativity, diligence and excellence in your classroom and beyond and will instil this in those that you lead.
Appointment of the right candidate is also offered with priority admission for your child (subject to other criteria being met).
At The Gilberd School, you will find:
* A school rated by Ofsted as being “Outstanding”.
* An exceptionally welcoming school.
* Enthusiastic, polite and well-behaved students who are eager to learn.
* Hardworking, positive and motivated colleagues who support each other.
* Superb classrooms and resources to support teaching and learning.
* Excellent CPD and career development opportunities.
As a consequence, outcomes across the curriculum are outstanding.
