We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and hard working site supervisor to join the happy and caring team at Rebecca Cheetham Nursery School and Children’s Centre.
You will be responsible for ensuring the school buildings and grounds are looking their best and in good working order. You will be proud of the contribution you make to the life of the school and to ensuring that the school and its environment is safe and secure at all times, allowing our children to reach their full potential.
Apart from maintaining the site, you will be confident and proactive in pre-empting further issues, keeping on top of regular maintenance, checks and tests and adhering diligently to fire safety and health and safety regulations. You will have a strong knowledge of health and safety and ideally hold an IOSH certification; however, we would be happy to train you up if you don’t.
The role requires a flexible person who would be able to work a split shift in order to accommodate the opening and closing of the school site.
We are a school that places positive mental health at its heart and we can offer you a supportive leadership team alongside a great working environment and robust wellbeing offer.
Day to day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises for all users, which includes buildings and grounds.
* Carrying out cleaning, general regular maintenance, handyperson activities and refurbishment and minor repairs.
* Undertaking and organising regular specialised testing and compliance checks, logging, reporting and ensuring any remedial work is completed.
* All other aspects of site management, such as liaising with and supervising external contractors, site use and development planning.
* Keeping and maintaining work records.
* Promoting health and safety around the school.
* Being responsible for a budget for the purchase of materials to carry out your role.
* Being able to manage your time effectively working both independently and as part of a team.
If you have what it takes to join the Rebecca Cheetham family, then we look forward to receiving your application and having you visit. Please contact the school office on 0208 534 3136 to arrange a suitable date or email at info@rebeccacheetham.newham.sch.uk.
