Join to apply for the Software Test Engineer role at Hubexo
At Hubexo, we build technology that helps the construction industry work smarter, safer, and more sustainably. Our platforms give specifiers access to essential documentation — including British Standards — to ensure projects meet the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.
We’re looking for a Software Test Engineer to help us uphold the quality of the products we deliver. You’ll be embedded in an agile team, working closely with developers, designers, and product owners to make sure what we ship is not just functional — but reliable, scalable, and secure.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape testing strategy, lead automation efforts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.
What you’ll be doing
* Create and execute detailed test plans and scripts for new features and updates
* Lead manual and automated testing including regression, exploratory, user acceptance, and API testing
* Work with tools like Cypress and Selenium to enhance and maintain our test automation frameworks
* Support non-functional testing such as performance, load, and security testing
* Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to identify and resolve bugs early
* Help build and refine our CI/CD pipelines, championing quality in every stage of the SDLC
* Join daily agile ceremonies and play a key role in team delivery and planning
* Contribute to Hubexo’s evolving QA standards and mentor junior team members
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance
* Strong knowledge of agile and DevOps environments
* Experience with API testing, SQL, and automation frameworks like Cypress or Selenium
* A proactive mindset — you care about prevention, not just detection
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams
* ISTQB Foundation certification (or higher) is a plus
* Bonus if you’ve worked with performance, load or security testing tools
What you can expect from us
* The chance to work on a platform with real-world impact — used by specifiers shaping the future of the built environment
* A seat at the table — we want your input in how we test, what we improve, and how we grow
* A collaborative engineering culture that values quality, learning, and continuous improvement
* Access to a global team of 300+ professionals and support from DevOps specialists in a consultative capacity
* A flexible, hybrid working environment built on trust and ownership
