JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting role for a results-driven individual to play a critical part in supporting our lawyers in designing and implementing strategic growth plans. The Head of Marketing is responsible for overseeing all marketing activity to assist the firm in implementing the strategic plans and delivering its brand promise. The position will involve developing strategies, managing budgets, setting goals, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
Additionally, the role will play a leading role in helping the firm achieve its ambitious growth plans in the UK and internationally.
The successful candidate will bring a creative approach to innovating, challenging and implementing strategies to enhance our market presence, attract new clients and build strong relationships. With a proven track record in driving multi-channel marketing campaigns, they will develop marketing strategies and initiatives to raise brand visibility, increase the firm's share of voice and attract opportunities.
This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and hands-on execution to achieve our business growth objectives, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a large marketing team of subject area specialists and build client engagement to increase brand awareness and drive opportunities.
The role will require working closely with the Business Development and Marketing team and stakeholders across the firm to ensure all marketing campaigns are aligned with the core brand messages.
CORE TASKS
* Collaborate with the Business Development and Marketing Director and Business Development and Marketing leadership team to drive (and develop) the firm's ambitious UK and international growth strategy.
* Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to grow the firm and deliver our brand promise.
* Embrace technological advances and develop structure, tools and new approaches to enhance client experience, create efficiencies, create consistencies in content development delivery, increase market share, boost profile, and engage with clients, contacts, and colleagues.
* Oversee the creation and implementation of strategically driven marketing activity and campaigns across all channels (digital, events and brand) to position the firm as the advisers of choice and promote employer brand, while increasing engagement and generating leads.
* Responsible for maintaining and developing brand identity and overseeing the execution of strategies to enhance the firm's presence in existing and new markets.
* Develop and implement digital and channel strategies to enhance brand profile, grow online visibility, generate leads, and position with the firm's goals and objectives.
* Monitor and measure campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments from these insights. Produce reports on statistics and present findings.
* Continuous development and alignment of the website and brand materials to deliver optimum client engagement and user experience.
* Manage brand development and growth, ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing communications.
* Monitor brand perception and reputation, taking proactive steps to address any risk issues.
* Lead, manage and develop the marketing team to ensure optimal structuring and skills to deliver against the needs of the business.
* Maintain and build strong relationships with a network of key stakeholders, contacts, partners and influencers to identify opportunities and build the firm's reputation.
* Lead marketing planning and delivery for strategic and targeted corporate/commercial events and sponsorship across the UK and internationally.
* Use data and other feedback to inform business strategies, decision making and assess and report on ROI.
* Work closely with BD, communications, client engagement, data and technology teams to align CRM strategies. Create segmented customer journeys for targeted and personalised marketing campaigns. Review the client experience and adjust strategies to ensure projects deliver ROI.
* Responsibility for planning and managing marketing budget. Actively track and analyse budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Responsibility for delivering training and sharing marketing best practice to the wider firm as part of the firm's internal training programme.
* Have a deep understanding of the industry and target audience. Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities and trends.
* Be aware of Brodies' information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.
PERSON SPECIFICATION & SKILLS
* Results-driven and commercially minded with a passion for driving business growth.
* Proven experience in marketing for professional services at a senior level, preferably in the legal sector.
* Experience and knowledge of digital marketing channels and tools (social media, SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, CRM, website, email marketing, etc.).
* Creative thinker who can think outside the box and develop innovative marketing campaigns.
* Excellent leadership, team management, communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective collaboration and influence.
* Ability to innovate, challenge and implement new initiatives and approaches to deliver best practice and support the objectives and ambitions of the firm.
* Proven ability in effective planning and management of budgets, monitoring ROI, and providing regular reporting on KPIs to internal stakeholders.
* Be data driven, with experience in analysing data, identifying trends, data visualisation and making data-driven decisions.
* Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously, find solutions and action ideas.
* A qualification in marketing, business, or a related field, beneficial but not essential.
