MECHANICAL ENGINEER POSITION IN LITTLEHAMPTON Who we are looking for We are looking for Mechanically adept people that are able to lend their hand to varied tasks involving preventive maintenance and repair of amusement park attractions, machinery and rides. Successful candidates will need: To be able to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals The ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at varied elevations including rooftops and ride platforms at working heights up to 10m Level 3 Diploma/ IVQ / BTEC in Mechanical Engineering related subject Hold a full driving license B / B1 About The Role Type: Permanent. Location: Littlehampton Hours: 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri (Winter) 09:00-18:00 Mon-Fri (Summer) Salary: £32,000-£39,000 (Dependent on experience) The role will include: Working as part of a 3-man team. Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions to ensure that machines are operated to maximum potential by full and correct checks, maintenance, and repairs both to schedules and as faults occur. Diagnosing mechanical and/or electrical faults or technical problems and determine proper repair solutions and practically deliver them. Ensuring that mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical maintenance and repairs are correctly and properly carried out and recorded. Ensure that the company operates day to day within the requirements HSG 175 for safe use of fairground equipment and other mandatory health and safety legislation. Assisting and advising the maintenance team lead and directors with safety related procedures and practices including the monitoring or recording of these practices for the equipment. This will include working with independent inspection bodies for a variety of equipment inspections. At times, a flexible approach to working with individual manual handling tasks occasionally required as well as pair or team lifting tasks on occasion
