Head of Technical Construction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Technical to join Crocus Homes to lead the Technical function across numerous developments to ensure timely delivery, high standards, and adherence to budget in a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Lead on Crocus Utility designs by tendering, appointing, and managing statutory undertakers or multi-utilities companies to ensure coordination and prevent delays in site deliveries of materials/work.
2. Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, including appropriate designer risk assessments issued to our H&S Consultant and construction team as required.
3. Control the quality of drawn information and address any non-compliance issues by interrogating designs from subcontractors and suppliers to eliminate problems before they reach the site team.
4. Deliver design packages on time and accurately to the wider teams and create a reporting style that clearly allows others to monitor progress against the agreed design programme.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
Education and Qualifications:
* Level 7 Construction or HND in Construction or demonstrable equivalent experience (E).
Experience:
* Management experience at a senior level / Head or Director of Technical (E).
* Previous demonstrable experience as a senior manager within a volume house builder (E).
* Familiarity/experience with COINS (D).
* CDM for Principal Designers experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
* Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven ability to plan and programme work methods and build sequences for sites.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Control preliminary costs in accordance with budget.
* Excellent organisational and administration skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work on own initiative, with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient IT skills including all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Personal Attributes:
* Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body preferred (RICS/RIBA/CIAT/CIOB).
* Relevant CSCS card or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
