Job Description
Milk Education are recruiting a full-time Nursery Assistant for a lovely primary school in Chester. The successful candidate would be working within an early years class supported by an experienced teacher. Working hours are 8:30-16:00 Monday – Friday. Qualifications are not essential however, experience working with children within an educational setting is a must.

Nursery Assistant Role & Responsibilities:
1. Use skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and progress.
2. Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies e.g. Literacy, numeracy, EYFS recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher.
3. Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use.
4. Work with small groups of children and take responsibility for their learning.
Non-negotiables:
1. Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity in the last 2 years.
2. Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum.
3. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
