We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our dynamic sales team at Wildflower Turf. This role focuses primarily on developing and expanding our existing customer base while also identifying opportunities for new business acquisition. You will manage your own ledger of customers, ensuring their long-term satisfaction and growth, and will work to drive sustainable development and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Existing Account Development & Management:
* Own Ledger Management: Take full responsibility for your own ledger of customers, ensuring regular engagement and personalized support.
* Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, acting as their trusted advisor to foster loyalty and retention.
* Account Expansion: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within your portfolio, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions that support their growth and sustainability goals.
* Client Retention: Proactively manage client communications, address concerns promptly, and ensure high levels of satisfaction to drive repeat business.
New Business Development:
* Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted research, networking, and outreach, with an emphasis on projects aligned with sustainable development and BNG.
* Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the full sales process—from prospecting to closing—ensuring a smooth and consultative experience for potential clients.
* Market Expansion: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to pinpoint emerging opportunities and inform your sales strategy.
* Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales and internal teams (including customer service and technical support) to deliver cohesive client experiences.
* CRM Management: Accurately record and track all client interactions, sales activities, and progress in our CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring data transparency and accountability.
* KPI Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed targets for account development, new business acquisition, and overall revenue growth.
Key Skills and Experience
* Sales Experience: 1-2 years in a sales, business development, or account management role, with proven success in generating revenue and managing client relationships.
* Account Management: Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of clients, ideally within sectors that focus on sustainable development or related industries.
* Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
* Proactive & Self-Driven: A results-oriented approach with the ability to work independently, manage your own pipeline, and seek out new opportunities.
* CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot to track sales activities and manage customer data effectively.
* Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainable development practices and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is a significant plus.
