Job summary
Tile House Surgery are recruiting for 2 part-time care navigators, full details are provided in the attached job description. Each role is to work 24 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
1. Greeting and directing all patients.
2. Booking, cancelling and moving patient appointments.
3. Handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
4. Dealing with requests for information and managing problems and complaints.
5. Advising patients of practice procedures.
6. Registering new patients.
7. Answer the telephone promptly.
8. Assisting GPs with their requests.
9. Referring patients to local domiciliary services.
10. Dealing with incoming emails/faxes as per practice procedure.
11. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.

18. Previous medical / healthcare, customer service and/or receptionist experience.
19. You will have excellent communication skills with a clear and polite telephone manner.
20. You will work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times.
21. You will have experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations.
22. You will be confident to work as part of a team and be able to think on your feet independently.
23. Strong IT and administration skills.
