We currently have the opportunity to recruit a Health & Safety Adviser into the Tubes operation at our Corby site.
Make a tangible impact
Reporting to the Site Safety Manager as one of two Health & Safety Advisers, the job holder would be responsible for the provision of safety systems management and advice influence and coordination of Health & Safety Activities for all areas of the Corby Site.
In this capacity your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Liaise with area management teams and safety reps/committees in order to review and develop health and safety to achieve the required performance
* Undertake regular safety audits to provide advice to management, to ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation, policies and standards across the Corby Site, and to identify improvement actions
* Devise and implement initiatives to drive continuous safety improvements and improve the Safety Culture
* Manage reporting systems of USRs and Behavioural audits across the Site and provide analysis of results/outcomes.
* Manage and maintain safety document systems including Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures etc.
* Identify health, safety and fire training requirements and with Site Training lead develop appropriate plans to implement and evaluate training..
* Liaise with on Site Security to ensure emergency response and preparedness is adequate, rehearsed and effective.
We see your potential
To be considered for this opportunity, ideally you would be educated to A-Level (or equivalent) standard, and would hold a formal qualification in Health and Safety Management (ideally NEBOSH Certificate) with demonstrable experience in health and safety management / improvement activities.
You will also require an organised and structured approach to work and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
