Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a full-time permanent role based in Portsmouth. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple system projects, ensuring the delivery of top-quality technical solutions and services. As a Project Manager, you will drive project success by coordinating both internal departments and third-party suppliers to meet project deadlines, budgets, and industry standards. You will also be involved in electro-technical projects, such as modifications, upgrades, and repairs, providing tailored solutions for cabling, machinery, and associated equipment. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring efficient project delivery while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
1. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the Marine industry.
2. Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
3. Strong familiarity with maritime rules, regulations, best practices, and industry performance standards, including working with Class.
4. Proven project management and supervision skills, with a keen ability to oversee multiple aspects of project delivery.
5. Strong commercial acumen, organisational skills, and the ability to manage time efficiently.
6. Leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a collaborative team environment.
7. Willingness to travel as required to attend vessel surveys and oversee site work.
8. Approachable leadership style, with strong organisational and team management abilities.
9. Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.
10. Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
11. Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement and behavioural change through the organisation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lead and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget, in line with industry standards.
2. Define project guidelines, allocate tasks, and oversee the documentation of project progress and financial records.
3. Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Service Department to align project goals and timelines.
4. Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring timely project updates, managing client expectations, and addressing any project-related issues.
5. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and all company policies and practices.
6. Manage personnel resources, communicate effectively, and drive efficiency improvements across teams.
7. Oversee resource acquisition, vendor negotiations, and evaluate project profitability to identify areas for improvement.
