Job Title: Registered Manager Ofsted - Children's Residential Home Location: Waltham Abbey - EN9 Salary: up to £50,000 per annum Bonus Scheme Our client is seeking a dedicated childcare professional - either an experienced Deputy Manager looking to advance their career or a Registered Manager - to lead their 3-bed residential home in Waltham Abbey. About the Role: As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and a nurturing environment for young people aged 11-18. You will lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring their professional development and well-being. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of home operations, including staff management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each young person. Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals. Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Lead and mentor a team of dedicated Residential Childcare Workers. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Ofsted regulations. Participate in on-call rota as required. Drive continuous improvement in the quality of care provided.Essential Criteria: Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior/team leader position within a residential childcare setting. Hold a QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma or be actively working towards completion. Hold a minimum Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People's Workforce) or equivalent. Full UK Driving Licence. Experience of managing an Ofsted-registered children's home. Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
