Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Child Support Worker to work with children and young people in Selby. Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges
* Assisting students in overcoming social and emotional difficulties to enhance their educational engagement
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support each child's development
* Helping to create and implement individual support plans for students
* Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Supporting students in developing their social and life skills
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational, social care, or similar setting (preferred but not essential)
* A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach
* Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
* A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
