Are you a passionate Chemical Engineer eager to jumpstart your career in renewable energy? Our client, an innovative company at the forefront of renewable energy research, is seeking two Junior Process Engineers to join their state-of-the-art Research & Development hub in Ayrshire.
About the Role
As a Junior Process Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Engineering Projects Leader and Senior Process Engineer to support the Operations team. Your role will involve:
* Project Scoping: Collaborating with the Operations team to define and agree on project designs.
* Process Documentation: Creating Mass/Energy Balances, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment schedules, specifications, and control philosophies.
* Layout Design: Contributing to Layout and General Arrangement drawings.
* Equipment Selection: Subcontracting equipment design/selection and preparing contract documents.
* Project Commissioning: Supporting the commissioning phase with accurate as-built documentation and equipment checklists.
You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to manage a process improvement project, from initial scoping and design to procurement, installation, and commissioning, with support from the engineering team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking driven individuals with a strong academic foundation and a collaborative mindset.
Essential Qualifications:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong academic background, including Maths, Chemistry, and Biology at A Level, Baccalaureate, or Scottish Highers level.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Master’s in Chemical Engineering.
