Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the world? At Steer, we are seeking talented and motivated individuals who are passionate about driving change and providing powerful solutions to make a measurable difference – to our clients, the communities we work in, and the world we share.
We’re seeking individuals with a good academic background, strong people and organization skills, and a passion for changing the world. From your very first week, you’ll tackle real-world challenges that make a difference in our communities and industries. You will be expected to deliver the full range of consultancy work and develop your consultancy skills through a combination of on-the-job learning as well as a structured development and mentoring programme.
Throughout your first 18 months with us, you will collaborate with our team of industry experts to address some of the most complex problems in the sectors we operate in. You will experience:
* a tailored programme that provides you with the skills needed for a successful career in consultancy. This is delivered through a blend of formal classroom training, engaging induction sessions, as well as the opportunity to rotate across some of our practices to broaden your knowledge, skills, and experience.
* a personalised development programme focusing on industry knowledge, core consultancy skills, technical training, project management, and key business skills.
* a range of onboarding activities, including meeting your peers, personal development planning, and learning more about Steer, our work, and our culture.
* mentoring from senior colleagues who will work with you to develop your skills.
* a dedicated ‘buddy’ who will help you settle into life at Steer.
* a career development manager and programme sponsor who supports your cohort throughout the pathway and your professional development through career coaching and career progression at Steer.
We are looking for gifted, motivated individuals to join us. If you are considering your future and are looking for somewhere to make a real difference, Steer has much to offer you.
Applicants should be educated to degree level (having obtained, or on track to achieve at least 2:1 or equivalent) with all subjects considered, preferably with a quantification or research element included, although this isn’t essential.
Our independent company is employee-owned and as a valued employee, you will have an influence on the running of Steer. Take the opportunity to be different from your peers and work for an organisation that you have a genuine stake in.
We offer a competitive package of benefits including a discretionary bonus scheme, a share incentive plan, and the ability to buy and sell annual leave. Alongside this, we offer private medical insurance and health screening, life assurance, group income protection, a company pension scheme, and an Employee Assistance Program to support your wellbeing.
Your development is vital to us. Your expertise is our capability, so we’ll make sure it never stops growing. Whether it’s from the enriching work that you do or the colleagues you collaborate with, you’ll learn every day. Once you’ve completed your first 18 months with us, we’ll support you with what’s next for you in your career at Steer with Learning and Development opportunities to support your aspirations and talents.
We are committed to making a positive impact. Our culture emphasises our social and environmental responsibility, with measurable targets in areas such as equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
