We’re The Leith Agency - a creative, strategically-minded, digitally savvy team of 120 with our HQ in Edinburgh. Established in 1984 on the docks of Edinburgh, Leith has come a long way from its ad agency roots. The business now delivers its trademark bold ideas through digital, experiences, social and health, alongside advertising, production and design across the world. We also have an office in the heart of Manchester.
We work across all platforms for many incredible clients including The Macallan, Network Rail, IRN-BRU, The Famous Grouse and the Scottish Government as well as many clients in the Health and Wellbeing sector.
Leith is part of Lumanity, a global consultancy group that delivers its services from an office network in the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia, with hub offices in New York, Philadelphia, London, Edinburgh and Farnham.
Responsibilities / Position overview
This is a rare opportunity to join the Leith Links team who specialise in brand experiences, retail design and execution, product and campaign launches as well as internal communications.
The role is specifically to work on one of the world’s leading luxury single malt brands. This is not your typical account director role and includes experiential coordination, programme development, creative marketing, and production management.
You would be leading on or involved in:
o Creating global IRL and virtual events and content to inspire, motivate and upskill the marketing teams across all markets.
o Developing brand education communications, programmes and content strengthening trade connections globally.
o Producing, delivering and managing unique events & experiences for HNWI and UNHWI at the distillery visitor centre (and potentially in other countries)
o The creation and delivery of global creative guides for the client’s campaign and npd launches.
o Working closely with creatives and designers as well as external suppliers to produce innovative builds and displays for retail, experiences and bar environments.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
1. An experienced individual to join our experiential team.
2. Experience of working within a client management role, within a creative agency environment would be beneficial but is not compulsory. We would also welcome applicants from a brand communications, brand activation and/or events background.
3. Understanding of brand communications is essential, with the ability to provide strategic counsel for clients across multiple areas. Track record activating brand experiences is preferred, ideally within the luxury sector, whether that be spirits, beauty, fashion, arts, hospitality etc.
4. Someone with an understanding of producing event & retail builds and displays, managing suppliers to deliver to the highest possible standard.
Requirements
5. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of strategic development and execution of brand communications (either in client or agency role)
6. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to exceed client expectations, to deliver first class service - solutions driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
7. Curious, interested in brands, and ideally the luxury sector with knowledge of high-end lifestyle, fashion, art and hospitality brands.
8. Be willing to travel within Scotland, UK and internationally. This role will likely include regular overnight stays.
9. Creative with the ability to bring brand ideas and brand comms, global toolkits to life visually and in event spaces in a premium way.
10. Strong creative writing abilities and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels effectively and confidently.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
12. Happy to get "stuck in" to events at every level. The role sometimes requires weekend/ evening and unsociable hours.
13. Ability to create strong internal relationships to ensure account is seen as priority
