We're recruiting a Special Applications Operative to join a well-established company in a varied role that’s primarily on-site based, with occasional driving duties. You’ll be a key part of the production and logistics workflow, helping ensure materials and finished goods move safely and efficiently between teams.
About the Role:
90% On-site support | 10% driving duties
As a Special Applications Operative, you’ll work closely with production, planning, and quality control teams, handling materials, preparing goods for dispatch, and occasionally transporting items using a company 7.5T flatbed truck.
Key Responsibilities:
-Pick and move materials from offsite warehouses to production lines (occasional driving of 7.5T flatbed truck)
-Liaise with Production Planning & QC regarding incoming deliveries
-Load/unload materials and complete all associated documentation
-Sign off finished goods, prepare Certificates of Conformity, and print packing labels
-Strap and pack pallets and crates from production lines
-Assist in production when required
-Carry out daily truck safety checks
-Ensure high levels of security and safety, especially when working solo offsite
You’ll need:
-A valid UK driving licence for vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes
-B1/B2 forklift licence (essential)
-Experience driving a flatbed truck (even occasionally)
-Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
-A proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently
-Strong understanding of workplace safety and security
