We are recruiting for a Business Administrator to join our rural client on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a key role, managing the general office administration of this well-established and niche business.
What you can expect:
1. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break
2. Salary: Circa £26k - £30k, depending on experience
3. Location: North Herefordshire/Powys border
4. Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing up to 25 days after years of service
5. Immediate start available depending on candidate availability
6. Full training provided
What you will be doing:
1. First point of contact for all visitors to the office ensuring a friendly, personal experience including the answering and transferring of internal and external telephone calls
2. Procurement of operational and office supplies liaising with vendors for value for money and best service for the business
3. Arranging transport of collections/deliveries to the main operational facility
4. Ensuring memberships are current and up to date
5. Ensure office efficiency by maintaining common areas, organising procedures, handling correspondence, managing file systems, and overseeing the replenishment of supplies and equipment
6. Raising and processing of purchase orders, purchase invoices, sales orders and sales invoicing
7. Provide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, client meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research and creating reports
8. RM maintenance
9. Managing the arrangement of client visits including catering requirements as and when required
10. Making staff travel arrangements and the associated bookings
11. Miscellaneous and various adhoc tasks as and when required
What we are looking for:
1. Administration experience within an office environment
2. High standard of literacy, numeracy, and IT, with experience of an ERP/CRM system, and MS SharePoint
3. Able to work with minimum supervision and make administrative decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant policies and procedures
4. Driving licence and own transport due to rural location
5. Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
6. Excellent communication skills
