Job Description
Daniel Owen are proud to be partnered with a large growing property maintenance company in the North London area who are looking for a strong M&E and Commercial Supervisor to join there team.
They are looking for a M&E and Commercial Supervisor to come on board and manage all the M&E and Commercial Works contracts in the North London areas. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the M&E and Commercial programmes and projects.
Daily responsibilities for the successful Planned, M&E and Commercial Supervisor will include:
1. Set up site prior to the commencement of project work
2. Plan projects and ensure they meet agreed specifications, budget and timescales
3. Oversee building work
4. Liaising with clients and reporting progress, professional staff (such as M&E Managers and surveyors) and the public
5. Supervising direct labour and contracted staff
6. Meeting subcontractors and have an understanding of how to programme major works.
7. Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
8. Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
9. Maintaining quality control procedures
10. Ensure timesheets are accurate and agreed with line manager
11. Motivating the workforce
12. Problem-solving
13. Provide regular project updates to line manager
14. Using specialist construction management computer applications
15. Carry out regular toolbox talks
16. Organising and arranging the procurement of materials and plant
17. Proven track record of working on various planned works projects planed preventative maintenance programs
18. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client representatives and customers as appropriate and maintain best practice introducing innovative processes which will add value and drive efficiencies.
19. Experience managing all PPM works projects.
20. To recruit and develop a team including tradesman/supervisory staff.
21. Able to price and programme works from drawings, organising labour and materials etc.
22. Regularly review service delivery.
23. Operational focus - Someone who can manage various processes, can oversee the operational delivery of the project and is very organised.
Requirements for the role:
24. You will have a proven track record and experience of managing major works projects.
25. The successful candidate will be able to work productively in a pressurised environment, act decisively when faced with urgent issues while consistently always maintaining a high level of service.
26. Social Housing, Local authority or Tier 1 contractor experience is a must.
