Position: Data Officer
Location: Wiltshire
A permanent career opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate who can demonstrate previous employment experience gained within the Education Sector. This is a full-time post, offered Monday to Friday working during term times only, offering an annual salary of approx. £24,000 plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with all Heads of Departments, Teachers, Students, Parents, and Guardians to promote the importance of excellent attendance and punctuality.
2. Research, understand, and challenge reasons for absence, analyze data and records, and investigate trends.
3. Pull together critical data and information from a wide range of sources.
4. Promote and implement the attendance policy to all concerned, working to improve and bring about positive enhancements.
5. Liaise with the in-house Education Welfare Officer to understand current concerns and recurring issues.
6. Communicate updates and data reports to the senior management team.
7. Meet with professional organizations and external bodies including Local Authority, Police, and NHS/Medical representatives to raise awareness of key objectives and areas of improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Higher education qualifications, preferably at A Level standard.
2. Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
3. Advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Skills:
1. Excellent interpersonal skills, including face-to-face meeting skills.
2. Ability to attend highly sensitive meetings while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
3. Capability to take written notes and translate them into emails and complex reports.
