A well-respected Defence/Nuclear company is seeking an EC&I Engineer for a new 12-month minimum contract, with a high likelihood of extension due to significant project funding. The role involves producing EC&I concept, outline and detail design, verification and validation, as well as test and commissioning documents for safety-critical material handling equipment used in defence applications.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and revising electrical aspects of previous projects to ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards, codes, and regulations.
2. Supervising, checking, and approving the production of detailed EC&I specifications, scopes of work, design drawings, schedules, calculations, and related documentation such as cable routing diagrams, schematics, single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, general arrangement drawings, cable and load schedules, material take-offs, scope documents, software and cable calculations, inspection and test reports, and commissioning plans.
Skills and qualifications needed:
* Experience in Functional Safety is highly desirable.
* Ability to supervise and approve detailed EC&I documentation and calculations.
