You will provide comprehensive support to young people in our accommodation setting. Our Accommodation site in Cambridge has 80 rooms, providing a home for 16–25-year-olds. We have a fantastic team of accommodation workers, providing ongoing support and encouragement to the young people living at Queen Anne House. The role of the Project Worker is to provide practical support to vulnerable homeless people to enable them to maintain their tenancies/licences, participate in meaningful activities such as education, training or employment and resettle to appropriate accommodation in the community. Key duties include; Provide high-quality person-centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice. Work within YMCA Trinity Group policies and procedures upholding the values and ethos of the organisation. Maintain high standards of supervision and support in order to create a warm, caring and homely atmosphere Assist in the running of the residential areas of the Project and ensuring a high level of working practice Ensure continuous development of key working and support packages in line with organisational policies and procedures Participate in the on-call system and work a late shift in operation. Some weekend or evening working may be required. A combination of Early Shifts (8am-4:30pm) and Late Shifts (1:30pm-10pm) working over a 7-day rota. The role also includes working alternate weekends and includes on call duties.
