You are responsible for delivering enterprise-grade solutions to our major customers, unlocking value for a wide range of personas across their organisations. You will work e.g. with sustainability analytics, marketing and lead generation in our EPD Usage Analytics and Materials Compass products. These are really exciting products to work with as leading brands across the world are the customers already. The business is growing very fast, driven both by regulation and the global urgency to combat global warming.
As a Product Owner, you work in a high-impact role within a cross-functional squad of incredibly talented software engineers, UI/UX designers, product managers, product owners, environmental engineers and data scientists. You collaborate with stakeholders and ensure the development team delivers functionality and features that meet customer needs and business objectives based on squad vision, priorities, and goals.
Based on your significant experience as a sustainability consultant in the construction industry, you represent the voice of the customer and provide day-to-day insights to the squad about how the industry operates. Your contribution is critical to ensure that the squad not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.
This is a full-time, permanent position and is open to candidates based in Finland (Helsinki) or the United Kingdom.
What you will do:
* Work with your cross-functional squad in delivering value to construction and manufacturing enterprise customers.
* Think like the customer. Be comfortable engaging with customers directly to understand their pain points or delight and clearly draft their Job-To-Be-Dones.
* Be metric-focused - Think of the key metric(s) you need to move and clearly articulate what leading indicators you want to track in the journey. Monitor and report on the KPIs and identify areas of improvement.
* Collect and prioritise product ideas large and small - from customers and internal customer-facing stakeholders.
* Maintain a product vision, roadmap and backlog.
* Document requirements for development.
* Work with your development team on daily basis to ensure high productivity and timely delivery.
* Test and accept deliverables from development and QA.
* Communicate product updates and keep leadership and the rest of the organisation informed at a regular cadence.
* Engage your colleagues and customers to support your work.
* Keep up to date on product sustainability regulations and market.
* Join relevant industry events and develop relevant partnerships.
What you need:
* +4 years of experience and a successful track record working as a sustainability consultant in the construction industry.
* Software product management experience is a significant plus but not a mandatory requirement.
* Comprehensive project management skills using industry-standard tools.
* Eagerness to work in a fast-moving and high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and managing stakeholder expectations.
* Degree in environmental engineering or other relevant field
* Great communication and collaboration skills.
* Ownership and Bias-for-Action - these should come naturally to you.
* Get-things-done attitude and hands-on approach.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English as it is our working language; other languages are a plus.
