Assistant Payroll & Pensions Manager
Location: Hybrid - office based in Pontypridd
Salary: £45,000 - £49,000 + excellent benefits
Holidays: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Pension: Excellent scheme

We are looking for an Assistant Payroll & Pensions Manager to join a fast-paced, growing organisation. This role offers the opportunity to manage multi-schedule payroll operations, lead a small team, and drive improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee multiple payrolls, including in-house and outsourced processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
2. Lead and develop a small payroll team, driving efficiency and high standards.
3. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including HMRC and pension regulations.
4. Provide accurate payroll data to support financial reporting and reconciliations.
5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven experience managing complex payroll operations with variable pay elements.
2. Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and formula use (LOOKUP/SUMIF proficiency preferred).
3. Experience leading and developing teams.
4. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends to meet payroll deadlines.
5. Desirable: Experience with defined benefit pension schemes or iTrent payroll systems.
