Manufacturing Supervisor
Role Overview:
Lead the manufacturing operations team to ensure safe, on-time delivery of products to the highest quality and cost standards, while driving continuous improvement. Flexibility to work alternative shifts and deployment across business areas is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure team compliance with Health, Environmental, and Safety policies, leading QHSE initiatives.
2. Supervise production to meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements, implementing recovery plans as needed.
3. Manage resource deployment effectively and redirect as necessary across business units.
4. Oversee team welfare and absence, adhering to company procedures for holidays, sickness, and disciplinary actions.
5. Enhance team capability and flexibility, arranging on-the-job training with maximum attendance.
6. Report daily on key business metrics and ensure adherence to Quality Management and Manufacturing Procedures.
7. Conduct start and end of shift briefs, keeping the team informed of key business updates.
8. Maintain and communicate local KPIs (SQCDP) to both the team and management.
9. Lead daily audits of the workplace, ensuring it meets “visitor ready” standards.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience in a similar role within aerospace, automotive, or mechanical engineering.
2. Proficient in manufacturing schedule management and SAP.
3. Competent in Microsoft Office and understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
4. Desirable qualifications: degree/HND in Manufacturing or Engineering, IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
5. Skills in resource planning, KPI reporting, and factory maintenance planning are advantageous.
