Band 67/ Locum Podiatrist – Hemel Hempstead Position: Band 6/7 Locum Podiatrist Banding: 6/7 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-Time Duration: 3 months Rate: £24:00 – £34.00 P/H Job Description: Livewell Southwest is seeking a Band 7 Locum Podiatrist to join our Diabetes Specialist Podiatry Team at Derriford Hospital in Hemel Hempstead. This role, which starts ASAP and lasts for an initial 3 months with the potential for extension, offers both full and part-time opportunities. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. The role involves delivering advanced, specialist podiatric care to patients with diabetes, including those with peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy, and acute or chronic foot wounds. You will undertake a broad range of clinical duties, applying your expertise to provide high-quality care and support for patients with complex needs. What your responsibilities will be for this Podiatry role? The Band 6/7 Locum Podiatrist will provide comprehensive podiatric care within the Diabetes Specialist Podiatry Team, focusing on advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with diabetes and related conditions. You will deliver high-quality, specialist care to address various podiatric issues, including peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy, and complex foot wounds. Your role will involve managing both acute and chronic cases, ensuring the provision of expert care at Band 7 level. Effective communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team is essential to optimise patient outcomes and support their overall well-being. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to the development of departmental protocols and practices.
