Eastlea Community Centre is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated practitioner to join the Children, Young People and Families Service team, which is made up of the Tots ‘R’ Us Nursery (two to four years), Teeny Tots (Parent/Toddler group - birth to two years) and FAB (Fridays are Brill – five years upwards). The Nursery is registered with Ofsted to provide care and education for up to 72 children on any one day, from 8.20 am to 2.50 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
The Trustees of the Centre would like to appoint an outstanding and reflective practitioner with a sound understanding of early years learning and development. The successful applicant should be experienced, enthusiastic, caring and motivated. This 30-hour post will primarily work with two to four-year-olds in the Tots ‘R’ Us Nursery and experience working with this age group would be an advantage; however, the post will involve working across all of the services. This is a unique opportunity for the right person to assist in further developing existing services.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years Educator/NVQ/Cache/BTEC full and relevant qualification.
* Knowledge and experience of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* A current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
* Able to work as part of a team and respect the value of staff and volunteers.
* Self-motivated and able to work within the Centre and Nursery’s policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate that meets the national minimum wage and is dependent upon experience. In addition to paid holiday on all statutory and other public holidays, you will be entitled to a total of 6 weeks paid leave pro rata in each calendar year. We provide training opportunities that will enhance and support our services and contribute to your professional development.
Please ensure that you fulfil the requirements of the Job Description and Person Specification criteria and that you are able to demonstrate this in your application. Standalone CVs are not accepted.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 20th October 2024. Interviews will take place the week commencing 28th October 2024. The post will take effect from the week commencing 9th December 2024.
The Trustees and Tots ‘R’ Us Nursery are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and families and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
