Introduction
Twilo Creative is excited to celebrate ten years of multi-award-winning innovative websites and impactful marketing campaigns. As we stride into our second decade, we're looking to expand our team with an experienced designer with graphic/print design experience and a strong website/UI design portfolio.
With a collaborative team and a great mix of clients, this role is ideally suited to somebody with a can-do attitude and a clear understanding of what good design looks like.
Benefits
Twilo’s loyalty program rewards top performers with private medical insurance, life cover, will writing and additional leave entitlement, which are offered after hitting key milestones.
We have a unique ‘learning hour’ which gives employees 50 hours p/a for personal development. We use external consultants who work with us both individually and as a team to develop soft skills such as time management and communication – we don’t need an ‘Investor In People’ badge to invest in our people!
We have a project catch up every morning and this includes Show & Tell on a Monday, as well as a bi-weekly Group Learning Sessions where the business owner shares experiences based on suggested topics from the team.
We work to a hybrid working model, with a salary up to £40K doe and 32 days annual leave.
You’ll be part of a business which is collaborative, with a shared goal of delivering best-in-class digital products.
Being a small team, we take the time required to get recruitment right. If your experience aligns with this role and you’d bring a positive energy to a well-established full-service agency, we’d love to speak with you!
Vision & Ambition
We place a lot of emphasis on personal development. We’ll ask you to map out your vision in terms of your own personal development which will help us to support you in your role. As a Senior, you’ll also consider how this impacts other members of the team including providing support to junior designers, as well as helping set procedures which bring efficiency to design projects.
Design
Variety is the spice of life, and we’re looking for a varied portfolio which showcases a range of design styles which can be applied to our multi-sector clients. Every day at Twilo is different with a good mix of projects ranging from business portfolio websites to enterprise-level e-commerce and custom UI. Throw in exciting brand and supporting materials such as brochures and exhibitions, we’re looking for a good mix of experience across the Adobe Suite and Figma / XD.
Communication is key to good project delivery, so you’ll form a good relationship with developers, providing handovers and be ultimately responsible for checking that the website that goes live matches your design.
Joining an agency with a decade-strong reputation in delivering a high standard of design, you’ll recognise the important of project planning. Not just in terms of understanding a brief, but in how you setup files from baseline grids in InDesign to components in Figma.
Some examples of active projects at Twilo include:
* The full works for an ambitious startup well on their way to becoming a household name, which includes brand, strategy, print design, website design, custom user dashboard and application (UI), and social media artwork.
* A large e-commerce website which allows customers to design their own external doors, relying on a strong and easy to follow user interface.
* Although we are not sector specific, we have several FinTech clients, with some recent project examples being a Compare the Market-style search engine which matches lenders with the user’s requirements, as well as an advanced loan application system which talks directly to the client’s CRM while helping to automate their internal processes.
* You’ll lend a creative hand to our marketing team to support visually eye-catching and engaging social and email campaigns, with the ultimate goal in delivering the best possible ROAS for our clients and their businesses.
To summarise, the key design skills we are looking for are:
* Digital design including websites, user interfaces and landing pages.
* Graphic design including logos, brochures and exhibitions.
Projects
Using our project management software you’ll keep things super organised, ensuring briefs are clear and that tasks are allocated between yourself and your colleagues.
You’ll help onboard new clients by offering support with designing proposals and providing project estimates, then breaking down project timelines and confirming them with the client.
Tools & Procedures
You’ll have a say on the software used to get the best results for our clients. This includes keeping software up to date for all users and maintaining a clean folder structure.
Caring & Sharing
You’ll be proactive in your approach to sharing your knowledge, skills and experience with the wider team, identifying opportunities to up-skill is a great trait for a Senior, and one we value at Twilo.
Running regular appraisals helps us achieve the standards needed to always deliver superb projects for our clients, as you’ll help to maintain Twilo’s high quality design.
We value good people who share our values. A lot of hard work has gone into building a team who work well together, and we’ll be looking for you to buy into our ambitious plans as the agency continues to go from strength to strength.
You’ll share in our success, taking part in our reward schemes which helps recognise colleagues who have gone out of their way to help others.
Client Success
This is a client facing role which relies on good communication. We reply to client emails the same day, we turn up to meetings early and follow up the same day. We also provide weekly updates to clients so they always know what’s going on, making them feel super valued.
That all sounds great! How do I apply?
