A fantastic opportunity for an individual to join our busy haulage team in a family-run business established 95 years. Our company will develop your skills and knowledge as well as offer the opportunity for you to progress within a thriving waste management business.
You will be working closely alongside the Operations Director for the day-to-day running of the tipper lorries, mobile plant, and tipping facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage enquiries and quotations for the haulage department.
2. Liaising directly with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.
3. Plan and coordinate transport routes in the most efficient way.
4. Utilise our tracking system to monitor delivery and collections.
5. Proactively communicate with customers and management team in providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers throughout the day.
6. Use of our accounting software (Sage) for raising sales invoices and entering payment allocations.
7. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing queries and issues promptly via telephone and email.
About You:
1. Ability to think on your feet and react to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
2. Confident, excellent communicator with good time management and organisational skills.
3. Administrative IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
4. Transport/Logistics experience would be an advantage.
Hours – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5pm. Smart casual attire.
Salary between £25,000 - £30,000.
