About us
We are looking for staff to join our well-established Reception team. There is a mix of long-serving staff and newer colleagues who together offer lots of experience and enthusiasm. They have a strong team identity and really support each other throughout the working week. They are led by a Reception Supervisor and our Patient Services Manager.
We are a thriving practice with 14,000+ patients. You will be supported by a fantastic team including an experienced practice manager, operations manager, a patient services manager, 5 partners, 5 salaried and 1 retainer GPs, a strong and skilled nursing team, pharmacy team and mental health team and experienced frontline administrative staff.
Job responsibilities
Successful candidates will meet patients at the Reception front desk or over the telephone and will deal with whatever their needs may be - whether that is finding the right appointment, resolving a medication query or helping to find other services or support.
There is also an element of administrative work as the team follows up test results or supports clinicians with tasks throughout the day. The reception team also works in our Appointment Hub, supporting the triage of requests for GP appointments. Our Reception team also processes all requests for repeat prescriptions each day.
Experience of working with patients and with SystmOne (clinical system) would be an advantage but is not essential. If you have experience working with the public and operating information systems, this experience is valuable and we would encourage you to apply.
We are fairly flexible with regards to hours and welcome applications from those looking for both full-time and part-time hours. We will work with the best candidate(s) to agree on the right working patterns but we do require either Monday or Friday to be part of the regular week along with a usual start time of 8:00am.
